At Least 37 Dead And Many More Were Hurt In A Terrible Head-On Crash Between Two Buses

A horrific collision between two buses has resulted in at least 37 fatalities and several injuries.

One of the buses veered into the oncoming lane and collided with the other on Saturday morning on the road connecting the Bolivian cities of Uyuni and Colchani.

According to a representative for the Departmental Police Command of Potosi, 37 persons perished and 39 were hurt in the collision and taken to a hospital in Uyuni.

The identities of the deceased victims, as well as others who were hurt and are still in the hospital, are currently being sought by police.

One of the buses toppled over onto its side at the scene and had to be turned over with a crane.

Additionally, they were observed picking up victims from the rubble and lugging them away in blankets.

The Bolivian Ministry of Government said in a statement that the early investigation showed that one of the buses had sped into the oncoming lane, causing the crash.

This comes after a car and bus crashed on a residential street in north-west London, resulting in one fatality and three injuries.

After receiving calls on the collision on Whitmore Road in Harrow, emergency personnel were dispatched to the scene at approximately 9 p.m. on Monday.

One individual was discovered by paramedics battling for their life, but sadly, they were unable to save them.

The individual’s age has not yet been verified.

Before two patients were taken to the hospital, three more persons were examined on the spot.

Roads in several directions were shut as a result of the fatal collision, disrupting travel throughout the neighborhood.

London Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 9.17pm on 24 February to reports of a road traffic collision near Whitmore Road.”

“We sent multiple resources to the scene, including ambulance crews, a paramedic in fast response car, an incident response officer, members of our hazardous area response team (HART) as well as command support vehicles.”
