Reformation has unveiled its Valentine’s Day campaign, and they’ve tapped Davidson for a very special role – the “Official Boyfriend.”
The campaign features a series of photos showcasing the 31-year-old’s tattoo-free look, as he confidently poses in various outfits, including a cozy sweatshirt emblazoned with his new title.
Alongside the photos, the campaign includes a video written and directed by Matthew Frost, where the comedian embraces his new persona, declaring: “I’m someone’s boyfriend and I take that seriously.”
“Reliability. Loyalty. It’s an accumulation of things. Make her a hot water bottle for when her tummy hurts. Put the seat down. Don’t tell her to relax, or try to fix her. Say you’re sorry,” he said.
“Actually most of the time, don’t say anything at all. It’s honest work, and somebody’s gotta do it,” he added in the clip, where he is seen sitting outside a dressing room, offering opinions as a lineup of anonymous women try on clothes.
Davidson first revealed he was removing all his tattoos in 2020, and by January 2024, he confirmed the process was complete.
During an interview on TODAY on January 31, the Bodies, Bodies, Bodies actor opened up about his reasoning.
“I got sober and I saw myself in the mirror, and I was like, ‘Nah.’ I was like, ‘I need to change it up a little bit,’” he admitted, explaining that he had been undergoing laser removal since 2020.

Beyond personal reasons, Davidson also made the decision for his acting career.
In 2020, during a Q&A for his film The King of Staten Island, film critic Mike McGranaghan first revealed Davidson’s tattoo removal plans, posting on X: “Just attended a virtual Q&A with Judd Apatow and the cast of The King of Staten Island. And here’s a scoop: Pete Davidson is in the process of getting all his tattoos removed!”
Davidson later confirmed this himself, telling Late Night with Seth Meyers in 2021 that he wanted to avoid long makeup sessions on set.
“I honestly never thought that I would get the opportunity to act and I love it a lot,” he shared at the time. “It takes like three hours – you have to get there like three hours earlier – to cover all your tattoos. For some reason, people in movies, they don’t have them that much.”
By July 2021, he told PEOPLE that he was already seeing results, adding: “They said by the time I’m 30, they should all be gone. So they got, like, two more years left of this.”
