The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTAs) is known for its star-studded guest list, but one guest stood out above all – Prince William, the future King of England.
A Private Struggle
However, Prince William appeared visibly sad as he opened up about his wife’s recent health struggles. Kate Middleton, his wife of 13 years, recently underwent abdominal surgery at The London Clinic for undisclosed reasons. The royal family, known for their privacy, has been even more secretive this time.
In a surprising contrast, King Charles III, Prince William’s father, has been very open about his own health issues, including his prostate surgery and unrelated cancer diagnosis.
“I’ve seen less than ever,” Prince William said when asked how many films he has watched, referring to his absence from the BAFTAs. “With my wife, it’s been a bit… But I hope we catch up, I’ll make my list tonight.”
A Reasonable Request for Privacy
So why all the secrecy surrounding Kate Middleton’s health? Just like many normal people, she may not want her private affairs to be known to everyone in the world. It’s a reasonable request, and one that many people can relate to.
